Quickstart - Traddal

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

A Traddal account — sign up at traddal.com
Your API credentials (client_id and client_secret) from the dashboard
A tool for making HTTP requests (cURL, Postman, or your preferred language)

Base URLs

Environment	Base URL

Sandbox	`https://sandbox.api.traddal.com`

We recommend using the sandbox for testing — see Environments for details.

Step 1: Get an access token

Use the OAuth2 client credentials flow to obtain a Bearer token.

You’ll receive a response like:

Tokens expire after 1 hour. Sandbox tokens only work on the sandbox URL — use production credentials for api.traddal.com.

Step 2: Classify a product

Use your token to classify a product and get the HS code.

Step 3: Calculate duties

Calculate customs duties and taxes for an international shipment.
